Have been using a Poor Man's Install of Knoppix v5.01
for some time now.
Have just booted to a CD of Knoppx v5.1.1 without using any commands
to access the persistent image or the configuration file. The messages
during boot seem to confirm that this was a boot strictly from the CD.
The swap file was detected and used.
Everything seemed to be normal except that the mouse cursor resembled a
one inch square barcode until the KDE Desktop was restarted.
After that, the cursor was normal.
Have never had this problem with Knoppix v5.0.1 or any of the earlier versions I've used.
The video card is a Matrox 450 dual head. The cpu/motherboard is a P3-800/Abit SH6.
The mouse is a generic cordless PS2 scroll mouse.
Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
And, if so, what the fix was.
