I think it would be nice to have iSCSI support enabled, there is a small package, iscsitarget-0.4.14.tar.gz, available from SourceForge. I'm not sure if this package has support for the latest kernel. It would be really great if there was some kind of gui front end as well, but that could be a stretch...
This way, if someone wants, a box with a large amount of disk space could be booted to the Knoppix live DVD/CD, and Windows Vista users can instantly have a huge second local disk. Since Vista now has built-in iSCSI support, I think Knoppix could fill a niche where older hardware can be used to add dynamic storage, instead of people frustratingly try to configure and secure NFS/SMB.
Also, since gigabit ethernet is becoming more prevalent, iSCSI is starting to make more sense.
