SB Live! 7.1 has NO MIDI Synth

I installed Knoppix v5.1.1 via a 'Beginner" type of HD installation. All seems to be fine, except my PCI sound card (this came with my PC, btw) SB Live! 24-bit 7.1 has NO MIDI Synth, it works in Windows though. This is what KinfoCenter says for Sound:

Card Config:
Live! 7.1 24bit [SB0410] 0xd8a0 irq 17

Synth Devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG

Is there anything i can do to make it work?

To get midi working you have to load a sound font. The sound fonts are comntained on your windows driver CD. With suse linux there was a program to do this but you can load them manually, or even use a a midi emulator like timidity.
