    Can knoppix.net forums support OpenId

I'm an avid user of your site and know that you like to be on the leading
edge when it comes to innovative technologies. I'd like to see you
support OpenID (http://openid.net) as it allows me to use your site
more easily. With OpenID I'm able to come to your site and sign-in
with my OpenID, removing the need to create yet another username and
password which means that you're able to sign-up more people.

OpenID is really easy to integrate and allows users from many large
sites such as AOL, Yahoo, LiveJournal, and WordPress to login with just a few
clicks. I encourage you to check out http://openid.net/ or join the
    mailing list general@openid.net.

    Hi there,
I like the open id technology too The way I've seen it implemented is that a username and password are still required to sign up, but once signed up you add your openid to your profile then you can log in with openid rather than your username and password.
If you could just use an openid without signing up then the spammers would have a field day..
as for this site the main priority is to maintain it, such as removing spam from the wiki, this takes some time... OpenID is nice, and will be added when the next forum software upgrade happens, if the forum software supports it.
