    Remaster /dev wrong fs

I'm getting the following error when i try to mount /dev to setup the chroot environment. I have going through the /dev/null Permission denied run down on the wiki, though it seems like it for a completely different error. Currently trying to remaster the LiveDVD 5.3.1

    Code:
    root@Knoppix:~# mount --bind /dev /mnt/hda2/knx/source/KNOPPIX/dev
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev,
           missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
           dmesg | tail or so
The dmesg | tail log as well.
    Code:
    root@Knoppix:~# dmesg | tail
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
tg3: eth0: Link is up at 10 Mbps, half duplex.
tg3: eth0: Flow control is off for TX and off for RX.
    ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
    eth0: no IPv6 routers present
ReiserFS: hda2: found reiserfs format "3.6" with standard journal
ReiserFS: hda2: using ordered data mode
ReiserFS: hda2: journal params: device hda2, size 8192, journal first block 18, max trans len 1024, max batch 900, max commit age 30, max trans age 30
ReiserFS: hda2: checking transaction log (hda2)
ReiserFS: hda2: Using r5 hash to sort names
hda2 is a newly formatted drive and no loss of data if it was to be formatted again but I was still getting this message when it was ext3.

    Thanks,
    Vasile DZ
