knoppix customised cd wont run in virtual enviroment, help

Hello,

Im trying to get a cd to run which is based upon knoppix in a virtual enviroment i.e vmwarez.

I have tried a knoppix image and that boots fine,

This customised cd gets as far as logging into a ipsec vpn and then says its detected a virtual enviroment and disconnects,

how is this acheived ?, And is there any cheat codes to overcome this

Do a google search on "scoopy" and you can learn how they can detect whether something is running within a virtual environment. You might have to reverse-engineer the CD (i.e. remaster it) and take this logic out.

Knoppix runs fine under WMware. Might not run as well on something deliberately hostile to Linux (not that I know Microsoft is up to anything here). Remastering a Virtual machine into a CD is a different issue though, VMs do a lot of hardware detection at install time, and this is something that would have to be considered to try to get a VM to run on Knoppix.
