KNOPPIX V5.1.1 LIVE CD >> SCREEN FLICKERS AFTER START

HI . IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS LIVE CD:

BOOTS UP ONLY WITH <FAILSAFE> AND THEN AT START UP THE SCREEN FLICKERS LIKE MAD. IM USING IT ON MY PC . PACKARD BELL I MEDIA 4705
INEL CELERON CPU 1300MHZ 256MB RAM .

THE SCREEN FLICKERS AS IF IT IS RUNNING UP AND DOWN AND THE COLUR CHANGES .

ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED .

When you load knoppix there will be a boot splah screen and a prompt. Here you can press F2 or F3 for options.
At the boot prompt you need to type a boot parameter and type enter to continue, try these.
knoppix screen=1024x768

xmodule=vesa

fb=1024x768

Only type 1 line and see which works. Change resolution if monitor and graphics card cannot support 1024x768
