Fehlermeldung "Can't find Knoppix filesystem ..."

    Hallo,

    thomania

    Greetings,
    Please excuse the English.
    Your computer is good.
Likely you have a poorly made KNOPPIX DVD.

All drives, both hard drives (Samsung SpinPoint F1)

My Knoppix version is also the latest 5.3.1

    Please excuse my bad english!!!:

    Thank you for the answer!

In the meantime I tried one other live-DVD based on the Knoppix-kernel too.
Unfortunatly I get the same error-message.
When booting by option "nodma" or "failsafe" I get the same error message too.

Has anyone an idea? I will be very thanful.

    Hello
Here are more ideas to try:
    1.) cheat code
    knoppix testcd
    2.) cheat code
knoppix nodma noudev nofstab nomount noswap
3.) make a DVD at 2x or 4x speed on the same DVD disk drive
that you will later use to boot.
Don't give up. You will enjoy KNOPPIX.
    Best Wishes

Thank you for the answer. I´ll try all the other cheatcodes.
But I think the reason could be my SATA drives or my ASUS P5Q board.
Could it be that KNOPPIX has Problems with SATA drives or with special boards?

Sorry for my English. It colud be, it has been stated in other threads that this problem is sometimes fixed by a "legacy support" setting in the motherboard BIOS when using SATA drives. The problem is not limited to SATA drives though, I've seen it with IDE drives having problems reading the disc. And if the burn was done at high speed it greatly increases the chances of this problem, SATA or IDE drive. A Knoppix disc should always be made by a low speed burn.
