    Booting straight into a program?

Hi, this is my first post, I am new to Linux/Knoppix so please excuse me if this post is in the wrong section. I want to alter my version of Knoppix so that on power on it boots up and then automatically opens a program, e.g. Kwrite. Is this possible? Many thanks

    Greetings WIT
There are a number of places for a command
to automatical start and run a command.
Since you want to run a gui program
I would use the KDE desktop autostart feature.

Open the home folder, click on View
    and select Show Hidden Files.
    The folder you want is:
    /home/knoppix/.kde/Autostart
A executable script here runs when
the desktop is set up after boot.
If you can figure out how to get it on
the CD or DVD it will run hands free
    when the computer starts.

You will need to look at many of
the documentations and posts on this forum.

    Best Wishes
