Please help: Booting with a CRT: out of frequency problem

    Hello!

Well, I just downloaded the last cd version of Knoppix and tried it on a pentium IV 2,6 GHz with 512 Mb RAM and an ASUS motherboard which is using a LG Flatron F700B 19" CRT monitor. A fairly normal circa 5-6 year old setup. The thing is that while still booting the screen goes "off" with an "out of frequency" message.

What can I do? Is there any booting option I could try or is it impossible for me to use Knoppix on that computer?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cheers

probably want to try something like this

    knoppix xvrefresh=60
    or
    knoppix vsync=60

this wil force Use of 60 Hz vertical refresh rate for X, possibly other values than 60 should be used, somewhere in range of 35-80
