i got 2 problems

I have 2 problems when i type netcardconfig if says my network card can not be found. But when i run the adsl/pppoe config it finds everything i need. Could that be why i cant connect to the internet when i tupe "sudo pon"?
Also I have no sound at all. When I go to do the sound card config it works but i go to try to play an mp3 it gives me this error message saying did u select the correct sound output. WTF is up with this?

wow lots of tech support 1 person who can help me and that is why i hate knoppix! fuck this live disks this is a waste of time i gie it a 2 out of 10

What sound card are you using?
What program are you using to try play mp3's?
What network card do you have?

Does everything work under the OS you have installed on your hard drive?

Without this basic information you can't expect anyone to help you. Not like we can read your mind or see into your computer.
