Booting from CDROM on a cpu running vista

I keep geeting a error when attempting to boot Knoppix from a cdrom. I type knoppix noswap and then it checks for usb/firewire devices, when its done it tells me it cant find the knoppix file system. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Does the livecd boot and run from a different computer?
If it does than that will at least let you know the disc is good
and you can then try passing some cheatcodes to the computer that
that is giving you problems.

No, one does not know that at all! High speed burns often cause exactly this problem, they will boot on some drives but not others. Just booting on a different drive does not mean that the disc is good.
