    Knoppicizing a Debian install??

Apparently, a true install of Knoppix on a drive is associated with problems due to the mix of Debian sources used in the Knoppix "base".

Accepting this, is it possible to "Knoppicize" a Debian install, so that it has the advantages of the Knoppix LIveCD (such as superior hardware detection)?

    Thanks in advance.

In my experience, there are no conflicts within the 6.2.X installed packages. The problems appears with synaptic etc, and only when using too many repositories. Cutting out "stable", also in updates, seems to solve it for me. I haven't seen any other reports about problems either, so far. Actually, I think Klaus may have done exactly what you suggest himself, in MicroKnoppix, which is the base for 6.X.
