"No screens found" on HP Elitebook 8540w
Hello,
I wanna use GParted from the current Knoppix/adriane Livecd to shrink the C: partition on my new HP Elitebook 8540w. I did that in the past already but does it also work with Windows 7 systempartitions? Never tried it yet.
But when i start the CD i get the "no screens found" error msg.
Normally i do everything in the shell, so i dont know much about xorg and so on. Would be nice if someone can help me.... What kind of information do u need abt my hardware?
My graficchip is a GeForce Quadro 1800M.
Thankful for every hint or help,
ND.

This problem normally occur with xorg.conf , use a minor xorg.conf looking like this;
chralg@8ball:~$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf ,# Minimal xorg.conf
Section "Device"Identifier "Default screen",Driver "fbdev" En
Hopefully this this will fix your problem
