Concerning the knoppix 'home' cheatcode

They are right, I had replaced this by
knoppix_dir=/path/to/KNOPPIX/directory, so you can specify the location
for the compressed Knoppix filesystem as well as knoppix-data.img. But
while knoppix_dir was documented, I forgot to kill the home= cheatcode
in the documentation. And even worse, it's still in the cheatcode list
for Knoppix 6.5. Sorry about the mistake.

Thank you utu for getting the information needed.

Of course, now that you only have knoppix_dir to use you have to have the image file in the same directory as the compressed image file. That is not going to please Otropogo or anyone else who is restricted from installing a poor man's on a company PC.
