Creating a boot floppy for Knoppix 6.4.4 seems impossible since the Linux kernel is too big to fit on a single floppy disk.
How to create boot floppy? Knoppix 6.4.4 CD.
Creating a boot floppy for Knoppix 6.4.4 seems impossible since the Linux kernel is too big to fit on a single floppy disk.
What's the latest version of Knoppix that will install on a USB stick, and have a kernel small enough to have on a boot floppy?
Your best hope is to chain boot, ie boot from floppy without the knoppix kernel, and chain boot into the USB stick. There is no knoppix kernel which is small enough to fit a floppy..
How do I chain boot?
There maybe more than one ways to do it.
But you can try this method which uses 'plop', ie you boot up from floppy using plop, then plop has built-in (usb) drivers to boot into linux resided on the usb.
