Hello. Being still new to Linux (knoppix), I ask my question in this forum:
I try to copy a file to /usr/local/lib, for example, or rename a file, and get the message "error moving file .... permission denied". Is there a way to get permission to rename a file or copy a file to a folder of my choice?
Or, in other words, ...permission to do whatever I choose, and not be protected from myself by the operating system?
Thank you.
