Since I am writing this post in Chrome browser in HD install of Knoppix, I consider the installation to be successful. I am not new to Linux, and have tried several versions of Ubuntu, and have used Debian Etch. This time I decided to try several, but in the end I found that nothing can compete with Debian and Knoppix. I choose Knoppix because for my use it is as good or better than Debian.
I have installed on entire disk on an Acer Aspire 9303 laptop and got rid of Vista. My great wish is to be rid of Windows comletely, and have Linux instead of Win 7 on my other laptop.
I am new here as well. I am dual booting knoppix with windows 7. So far I am in love with knoppix. It seems to suit me very well.
I started with knoppix in November 2011 when a new release of ubuntu worked on my laptop, but no longer ran on my desktop.
Very impressed with how easy the openshot video editor is to use.
I really need to keep better notes on things that windows users need to know to use knoppix.
I certainly wouldn't have made it as far as I have without this forum.
