PCMCIA hard disk 5gb not listed in drives
Hi,
I have a P3 Dell laptop without a hard disk (malfuction of controller?) which manages to run Knoppix 7.0.4 with only 128mb of ram. I thought it is because it recognised my PCMCIA slot 5gb hard disk and used it for a swap file, but it is not being shown as a drive, and I seem to remember drives should be recognised automatically? The drive is working, it is recognised by the winxp install disk, and from win on another laptop, but the machine won't boot from it.
Is there a way to use a PCMCIA hdd from Knoppix? Is it a driver issue, or a mounting issue?
