'Knoppix' option in KDE pull up menu gone missing...

Never made the trip after a HD-install.

Is there any way of getting it back? Its so useful when configuring things!

    any help greatly appreciated,

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

I answered your other post regarding the printer wizard. What other things do you need from the Knoppix menu?

Here are a couple scripts that may come in handy.

netcardconfig (the wizard like script that will configure your ethernet cards)

    wlcardcinfig (script for wireless)

Both of the above scripts must be run as root.

If there are other things you need from the Knoppix menu let us know. I'm running a hdinstalled version of Knoppix myself right now so I can't see what's in it myself

    Take care.

    Or /etc/init.d/alsa-autoconfig.

Many thanks for that info! I bit I also don't understand is ' Does HD Install' always flush that seriously useful 'Koppix' entry out of the KDE pull up menu?

    Can we get it back?

It's removed because the suoders entry for the user knoppix is removed when the HD scripts runs without the entry the menu is useless you have to have root permissions to run the scripts.
