nobody can help you if do not provide more information.

What type of headphones do want to use, e. g. USB or conventional connected to your sound card?
Have you tried to adjust the sound volume with alsamixer?
Which version of Knoppix do you use?
Some systems have got two sound cards because many graphics cards have one built in.
