KMail doen't startup fully.

Installed system : Knoppix 7.4.0

Dear Forum Member,

KMail doesn't startup fully.

Error message:
The Akonadi personal management service is not operational.

Details; First Error message:

The Akonadi control process is not registered at D-Bus which typically means it was not started or encountered a fatal error during startup.

What's wrong? How can I solve this problem?

I suggest that you load the configuration file /home/knoppix/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc in a texteditor and change

[QMYSQL]
StartServer=false

into

[QMYSQL]
StartServer=true

Save the file and exit the texteditor.
Issue the command

kmail

in an LXTerminal and wait until kmail runs properly or exits with an error message.

Tell us if that resolved the issue.
