Good Evening, I'm trying to teach myself to play keyboard, and so far, the biggest challenge is finding music notation in a blind friendly format. Ideally, I'd like songs in plain text that just lists the notes of the melody line in the order to be played, but it's hard to find music format in such a manner. I've come across ABC notation as well as command-line utilities to convert midis to ABC, but while ABC is plain-text, it doesn't take much complexity to make the files difficult to read with my current knowledge of the format. If anyone could suggest command line utilities for any of the following tasks, it would be greatly appreciated: -simplify a midi/abc file to just the melody line. -perform OCR on scanned sheet music. -extract the melody line of a midi/abc file as plain text. -anything else you think I might find useful to my needs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
