trying to remount KNOPPIX/... ?

I have been noticing that, apparently, "some hacker" has been getting into my box even though I am using the knoppix firewall Of course you can always physically disconnect yourself from the Internet ... How would that be possible? How could you monitor it? How could you avoid it? Thanks lbrtchx
