If I remember well it's the file flashplayer.so inside /usr/lib/chromium/plugins/ (do it with root terminal or with su): cp /route/to/file/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/chromium/plugins . (don't forget ".") In another browser you only need to do it instead of chromium. Sorry, I can't check the route right now but I think it was that one.
Did you use the icon "Wrap [CODE] tags around selected text" from the extended formatting tools within the editor?Preview post looks fine but then my comment is posted as one single line apparently lbrtchx
Have you installed flashplugin-nonfree and pepperflashplugin-nonfree from Synaptic?
I did and flash problems with Iceweasel and Chromium vanished...
From Chromium 34 (or 35) onwards, NPAPI plugins have no longer supported, including Adobe branded Flash Player. To get the flash movie stuff going, Pepper Flash probably is the only route to go for Chromium but with a lacking feature of playing DRM protected video clip. For playing the DRM stuff on Linux platforms, the approach to run Iceweasel in conjunction with either Adobe Flash Player (v11.2) or Chrome Pepper Flash (v19.0; extracted from ChromeOS) plus freshplayerplugin (ppapi2npapi compatibility layer) is still kind of irreplaceable at the moment.
Just did an installation of pepperflashplugin-nonfree (from wheezy backport) on an untouched KNOPPIX 7.4.2 running in Live mode. It worked out of the box straightaway. On the plugin list of Chromium (chrome://plugins), the installed flash player was shown as "Adobe Flash Player - Version: 19.0.0.207" which was nearly identical to the version number shown on Adobe's help webpage. The video clips on BBC website (as the test case) could also be played. By the way, it may be worth a while to check the contents of /etc/chromium/default and /etc/chromium.d/pepperflashplugin-nonfree and see in which folder the plugin (libpepflashplayer.so) is expected to be.
Did you try what I said?. I always update/install flash in knoppix to my wife and some friends using knoppix, and it's not difficult to download the tar.gz, extract it, and only place libflashplayer.so in that route.
