An interesting video of an English-language lecture by Klaus K actually
demonstrating his thesis with Current Lubuntu and Sysvinit from Knoppix 7.7.

Klaus gives a demonstration using Lubuntu with systemd, to start with, showing
how, in principle, to succesively remove Systemd functions and programs
and replace these with Knoppix Sysvinit processes.
In the process, Klaus shows that where systemd may be appropriate for large
virtual management systems, Sysvinit is much more adapted to single user
situation using old and slower devices like cdroms and mechanical drives.
Experts, please correct my interpretations where necessary. I may not have
all the buzz-words just right.
