To install 7.6.1 to USB you can use the ISO without burning it to DVD and then make your flash disk installation. Using the DD command you'll don't get the necessary change from Isolinux to Syslinux.
Am i missing something? I have just downloaded ver 7.6.1, checked it's MD5 & SHA1 sums, burned to a USB drive using the DD command (inc ending with a SYNC) and then tried to boot it ... failed!! Reformatted usb, repeated & still failed. So i found and booted an olded version of Knoppix and booted that. However, the "install knoppix to flash disk" only places the running system on the pen drive. There doesn't seem to be any option to install the newer iso image i downloaded to a usb drive ... or is there?

Many thanks Werner. I did all the "without burning it to DVD " post you suggested and all seemed to be great (intel btw) until the final command which gave:Which gave:Code:$ kvm -m 512 -cdrom $PFAD/knx/remastered.isoAnd KVM does not exist in my distro's repos's ... I think my easiest option would be to simply burn a DVD ... Thanks again.Code:bash: kvm: command not found
