modem problem
I finally got knoppix installed but having problem trying to login the internet. When I get half way through the setup, and when it tell me to click on the Query modem I do but there or no results. The page is empty.

What KIND of modem? If it's internal, it's likely that it's a WinModem, hence (usually) unuseable under Linux. Find out what model you have, then check
http://www.linmodems.org/
to see if it's supported. My recommended "cheap internal modem" is one with an Intel Hardware-assisted Modem (HaM) chipset. Many others simply don't work.
