Network card not work

Knoppix in boot cd. Network card not work.
Please help using install and config Realtek RTL(AS) PCI card and connect to internet.Not DHCP - static IP adress.

A few more details would be helpful, could you post the output of lsmod, ifconfig -a and dmesg | grep eth0 once booted from the CD. To get a file you can copy to a floppy use to post from the OS connected to the internet use > file_name.txt on the end of the commands eg. lsmod > lsmod.txt will give you a file lsmod.txt in the current working directory most likely /ramdisk/home/knoppix if you do not change directories once you open the console window to execute the commands.

You are not exactly clear on this but you can use netcardconfig from a console window (clam shell icon on the taskbar) to enter your static settings when booted from the CD you would say no to the option use DHCP and you will then be presented with the option to enter your static settings if this is the problem you are having.
