Am not able to start the DVD MySQL. Getting following messages:

error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysq
ld.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' exists!
UNQUOTE
And indeed : ther is no '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'
Do not experience the same problem with hte "2003/07/26" CD.

Any help or hint?
