Looking to Klaus Knopper interview at PCTechTalk I've read "... Fabian Franz, Author of some of the packages on Knoppix, is currently working on a modularized version of KNOPPIX, based on Debian metapackages and KNOPPIX-specific packages. So, you could use a build system to build your own version and include just the packages you want. "

WOW ! Someone knows when it will be released ?!?

In my opinion a distro like this will become not a new version of Knoppix but THE Linux distro for exellence !!!

Wow ?
Fabian is really good at his stuff and the "new" modularized Knoppix can/will be wonderfull... but wow ?
For quite a long time there has been Morphix, a modularized "version" of Knoppix. The idea is nothing new, but maybe Fabian's approach is different ?!
Anyway, I would like to try this release too, but I'm gonna save my "wow" for when I see it
