new software

I downloaded and inastalled gnu-cash and apparently everything went fine my problem is I don't know where it went
what directory I go to to find my new program?
I'll appreciate your help since this can be my big stepping stone in leaving WINDOWZE once and for all

can you type "gnucash" into a terminal? ( or if you're using kde, press Alt+F2 and type it there. )
