Sony Vaio Pcg-Grt100 and i like it. But one question......

Just got a new Sony Vaio pcg-grt100 and i love it, i read the problems in this forum with vaio's, and lemme tell you, They dont seem to be affecting the PCG-GRT series, i got Mass features, so on and so forth, and im having ONE problems with Knoppix std, i cant post on the KSTD board cause its broke, so i need your help.
I get "cannot find knoppix file system" error, what do i do? when i excuse "failsafe" everything seems to work fine, so ive been running in failsafe everytime, but im new to this so... is it okay to forever run in failsafe, or if not, how can i fix the prob so i wont have to run in Failsafe.....

Have you booted with testcd? It should say something like "Everything looks ok here". If you pass that test then perhaps you should boot Knoppix (non-std) and see how it works on your machine before trying a customized version.

when it doesnt say that, i get this,

invalid bus type 2
invalid bus type 2

about 11 times, what is that?

Never seen that error before. I would suggest booting Knoppix (not a customized version) and see if that boots ok.

I have a PCG-GRT100 and use

knoppix noapic

to get rid of the invalid bus type 2 error message...

yes definitevely i got rid of INVALID BUS TYPE 2 with
knoppix noapic
