    Dell docking station ?

    hi,

the new Knoppix (2003-01-20) runs fine on my Latitude C640, but there is a small problem when the laptop is used in the docking station (C/Port II) ...
on the monitor attached to the docking station the whole start-up sequence is shown, but when X/KDE starts up, the monitor stills shows the boot-up sequence
using ctrl-alt-F5 i can get KDE to show up on the monitor, but after using ctrl-alt-F1 (or F2) to get a root shell, i can no longer use ctrl-alt-F5 to get KDE back ?!?

    any workarounds ??
normally i should use the Fn-F8 CRT/LCD keys on the laptop to switch between lcd and monitor, but the laptop is closed and those keys are not on the keyboard attached to the C/Port ...
