launch "start" menu from the keyboard?

Is there a way to launch the Knoppix "start menu" from the keyboard. Something similar to the windows "start menu key". Thanks

Yes the ALT and F1 keys at the same time.

--that's something that has really bothered me for a long time. I wish they'd at least be key-compatible with Windoze (Ctrl-Esc.)

It's easily changed all you have to do is select the windows scheme for the keyboard shortcuts.
