    but this isnt knoppix' fault, nor linux', but the supplier of your hardware refuses to support the hardware with linuxdrivers... Sou you should SHIT on him

    A third question in the poll might have been "Would you be willing to buy one or more new components for your computer system to make it 100% compatabile with a specific alternative OS that you wished to use?"

    Think that more people might answer yes to this than would answer yes to spending $1,000 for a completely new computer system. By this I mean that if someone discovers their NIC and perhaps their graphics card is not supported by an OS they want to use...there's little reason to spend $1,000 for a new system when a less expensive upgrade of just those two problem system components would resolve compatability issues with the OS.
