keyboard problem

what it is, i have knoppix installed on my hdd but on my keyboard the @ sign is in palce of the " sign can someone help

First, work out what keyboard you're using! If you're running from CD, it's normally enough to K > Settings >Control Center > Language & Accessibility > Keyboard Layout.

Just find the language setting which works for you.
