Hi, i am a total newbie to knoppix and linux. I just tried out Knoppix yesterday and I am very impressed. Sure I had some problems here and there, but nothing a couple of hours on forums could not resolve.

Here is my question. How do i install new software on this os? I created a persistant Knoppix home directory on a 256mb usb pen drive. I want to install AIM and other software available for Linux. I click on the install files and it says something like cannot find install.h. Any help is greatly appreciated.
