hi got the knoppix disk ages ago and kept getting the "Panic cannot mount root file system error i treid all the cheat codes and got no where so gave up
this morning i tried again and after a bit of googleing using mychipset and linux and as the keywords found this
basicly it said disable power managemnet in the bios
i did and low and behold knoppix now boots
i hope this might help somebody
mother board i a k7sem with a sis chip set and duron1200

ps wtf is linux
time to find out i think
