Best place to buy a Knoppix USB when located in U.S.?

It seems the Get Knoppix page on this website is out of date. All of the buy Knoppix links no longer work and I believe that OsDisc.com has been out of business since at least last summer.

I've been buying the Knoppix USB's from ShopLinuxOnline.com, but the latest version that they have is 8.6.1

    Suggestions?

    Thanks - Dave

I bought 9.2 just about a year ago from LinuxMag (SP) in Germany. It turned out to be a billing nightmare. I got magazine and DVD ok, but Canada Post didn't notify me of arrival, so it was just lucky I checked with my Flexdelivery Post Office before it got returned to sender. I had jumped through a succession of hoops to pay for it with my credit card. But noticed the debit failed to appear. They had my email address, but failed to contact me.

Three months on I got an angry registered letter accusing me of not paying for the "subscription", and charging me almost as much for the warning as for the magaziner. I wrote back explaining everything I had done, which included FAXing my card information and receiving confirmation of receipt from them, and asking what I should do next. made clear I was not willing to give them authorization to bill my bank account directly. A month or so I got another registered letter demanding triple payment now, and still insisting that I fill out and a form authorizing direct billing to my bank account.

I wrote back again, but also contacted a friend in Germany who then jumped the gun a bit and contacted the collection agency directly, payed the entire unjustified and grossly inflated bill , and sorted it out. Then I belatedly got a friendly reply from the agency saying it was all good.

And all this was done in German...

So, I can't say it was worth it, and I certainly can't recommed it, but it IS a way of getting the latest version. Last year in came out in the April DVD issue of the magazine, so you might be in time to get one this year before the issue is sold out. Good luck.

PS> judging by the date stamps on the discussions here, English support for Knoppix is pretty much dead. Haven't looked at the German forum lately...

Have just searched the WEB for news of the next public release of Knoppix, and found NOTHING. Worse, distrowatch is showing Knoppix8.6.1 as the latest version, Knoppix9.1 has been the latest public version since February 2021, and the Linux Magazine online news section has no mention of any successor to last year's Knoppix9.2....
