    return the ipchains: Protocol not available

    Hello allz ! Im trying to install a intranet
    had eth0,eth1 & lo configurated when i put ifconfig as shown as well
    but now i put echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
    enabling ip_forward to 1
    then /sbin/ipchains -P forward DENY
    return the ipchains: Protocol not available
    also with /sbin/ipchains -A forward -j MASQ -s 192.168.0.0/16
    return the ipchains: Protocol not available


    is the kernel doesnt support it ?
    plz help!

    I think you have to load the ipchains module. Try poking around with the 'modconf' command.
