SCSI CDrom
Can anyone give me advice on how to configure the card of an all-SCSI machine so that it will boot from the SCSI CDrom?

Is it a SCSI motherboard or do you just have a scsi card in it with all devices hooked to it?
IF SCSI Motherboard....
Systems vary so look into these options.
1. On boot up press "DELETE" or F1 or what ever key is needed to enter the system bios (before OS boots). In there you should be able to reorder the boot devices.
or
2. Obtain a manual for your mother board. There may be a jumper setting that will enable you to boot from CD.
or
3. Some systems have an automatic search for bootable media (like an HP netserver i have). If bootable media is found anywhere in the system other than the HD, it will allow you to choose to boot from it.
If SCSI Card only....
The only way I know of if it is just a scsi card is that some cards have a bios rom onboard, like many Adaptek cards, after the system bios starts the cards bios will start and give you the option of entering the card bios.
Hope this helps, Please reply with some specifics.

SCSI CDRom
Thanks to robwelch100.
I'm using an Adaptec card.
The system BIOS is set to boot from SCSI which it does, but it automatically reads the first SCSI HD. I can get into the SCSI BIOS, but don't see how to alter the order in which the SCSI BIOS will read the drives. Have tried setting CDRom ID to 0 and also to the highest ID on the board but this makes no difference. The CDRom is also used to terminate the chain.
I feel that I am missing something.
