    The lan thing

    I can't browse on the net where is the problem?
    How do i configure my network card and the internet conection?

    Pretty simple solution...

    This is a bit of a complicated question when you ask it so generally. We will need to know more about your set-up to help you with any real specific advice, however assuming you know a little but about what you're doing and are simply new to Linux I'll tell you what you want. Open a shell, that's the icon in the kicker (M$ would call their equivalent the taskbar) that looks like a monitor with a shell in front of it. As root, type in:

    # netcardconfig

    Assuming you know your connection details, and assuming that it's not an unsupported ethernet card error, this should work.

    In case you don't know how to become root, you can search this forum for some great instructions that are available.

    I think knoppix sees my network card ethO but what is the roort password?
