I'm trying to boot an old Compaq Deskpro, using a Knoppix 3.2 CD I burned myself. I've used the CD in question to boot several other machines, including a laptop even older than the desktop I'm having problems with. The machine starts to boot, but dies with SYSLINUX 2.04 (Debian, 2003-06-06) 1{and some garbage characters} at the top of the screen. The machine will boot from a Windows XP Pro disk I burned on the same media. Any suggestions on what's wrong?
