    Knoppix and NTFS Driver Version

Does Knoppix Kernle have the new NTFS driver patch or still use the old driver?

If it sill uses the old NTFS driver that may be a reason to Knoppix to move to the 2.6 Kernel sooner rather then later.

    thanks

    Alan

    NTFS

The new NTFS Driver does not really support writing. From their web page

"Still read-only, but with safe file overwrite support on all Windows versions without changes to the file size and if the file is over 1 kB"

However it is a better over all driver apperently.

Here is the link to the NTFS Driver page
    http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/

For info on the old vs new
    http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/st...tml#ntfsdriver

The site also has several other NTFS tools that at some point should be included in Knoppix also.
