Okay... yes... going to a specific linux distro forums for advice probably isnt among the greatest of ideas..... but, it's better then anything I had/have up my sleeve
I want to setup a simple linux box to connect to the internet via dialup modem, and be able to share the connection with a mostly winXP network.... would also be good if it could act as a general file server for the network...
considering the fact that I've already gotten knoppix to work... i was thinking of just using that, but, needing to reconfigure it for each power outage would be.... time consuming?... bit inconvienient....
so, what distro's would y'all recommend? (also.... know of any good/easy to use ftp servers for linux?)
Thanks Y'all.... (and for the record.... i still like knoppix for my laptop that for some reason refuses to work under any windows version... just wish i could win a few more of the included games ... grrr...)
