    thank you arkaine...i will i took champ's advice and the third mirror i tried gave me a 30 min time...i did it, and it has 8 min left right now....i used the ftp though, that wont be a problem down the road?...thankyou again champ, and arkaine

    ok...i am trying to be proactive here, is there any particular cd to use?....i have cdr's for audio, but have backed up data onto them in the past, will they work or should i head down to wal-mart and get something more specific and certain?...ohh boy, im gettin a little antsy...1:28 left to download...jk lol

    700mb CDR

    I just thought of a snag you may run into. Your Dell uses winXP, right? Do you have any CD-burning software installed? Windows XP has some built into the windows media playerm, but it is not a full featured CD-burning suite, so you won't be able to burn an iso with that. It might be that you'll need to get a copy of Nero, Alcohol 120%, or Roxio EZ-CD installed on XP before you canm burn the iso. There's probably a free app out there somewhere, I just can't think of a name just now...

    They are pretty much the same thing the audio part is just to get more money from you just make sure it is a 700mb size.

    arkaine thank you, stephen you rule....thank you...i have successfully burned using roxio, and now have to set my bios to boot from cd first, how do i go about doing so?.....thank you again...im gonna reboot now in hopes that those settings are already there...be back in a minute ...using konqueror, if all goes well....

    no luck....i set my ide cdrom to "1" on the startup sequence....no problem....but it wont boot from cd...any suggestion...according to the files that were burned everything is there on the cd...699mb.
