When I boot the laptop with the lid closed, I get an Invalid Mode error, and nothing else will display during bootup until KDE loads. Then everything is fine, but if the laptop goes to sleep, wakes up, shuts down, etc where it would go back to console mode, it just displayes the Invalid Mode error.

If I boot with the lid open, it doesn't happen.

Any thoughts?
