knoppix with gnome 2.2

hello everyone, just wondering what you'd think if I created my own unofficial knoppix cd that just had gnome 2.2 and smaller ISO (around 400 megs) ?

or has this been done already?

Oh, that´s very interesting for me. Would You be so kind and write a few sentences more? I´ve tried the same, but had no luck (By starting from CD Gnome2.2 everytime hangs at the splash-screen).
