    morphix + wine mini mod + ie6 = argh....

please help. ive been pulling my hair out for over a week trying to get this to work

Morphix Main-lightGUI + Morphix Mini-wine.mod and then install IE6. ideally id like to have ie6 + jave jre + flash plugins + acrobat reader, but at this point id settly just for stinking ie6.

ive tried tips, tricks, configs and scripts from all of the following places and in varying combinations of those and had no luck.

    please please help.

The stuff in the wine morphics module can be different from what we have.
Anyway, I'm curious as to why on earth you want to run IE and the windoze version of acrobat reader ??

I see, what should be done is fixing the broken web application that only works with IE but I guess you're not allowed to do that... I think you'd get more help at http://morphix.sourceforge.net/modules/newbb/
Haven't been playing much with wine myself, sorry.

Java, flash & acrobat all run natively under linux. Have you tried those web applications of yours under mozilla or possibly konqueror with a tweaked user agent id if needed?

sadly yes.. it seems IE is the only browser that can properly interpret this less than ideal web app.

sorry if this was an inappropriate place to post... ive posted the same Q on morphix forums, i just thought someone here may have some insights that could prove helpful since morphix and knoppix are rather closely related.

I would suggest getting wine/exploder/your apps to work togeher on an hdd installation of Linux then try to make your own morph. Morphix and Knoppix are really quite different.

Questions about Morphix, Knoppix STD, or any other remasters should not be asked in this forum. The simple reason being that there are far to many remasters/knoppix derived OSes.

Morphix has it's own support forum/mailing list, and so do many other remasters. If they don't then they should, or maybe they expect you to email the author directly.

BTW, get your boss to shell out $60 for Crossover Office : http://www.codeweavers.com/site/products/cxoffice/. It runs internet expolorer - and free support.
